In order for marriage to be successful, before you get married you have to be completely selfish and after you get married you have to be completely selfless.
I just left a two year relationship, which was proceeded by a five year relationship. Needless to say I have all kinds of questions about me, love, relationships, and what to do next. I hope you continue writing, it's nice to be read what is going on in the minds of others who have been through long term relationships as well. Thanks for your openess and honesty. KB

Purpose: Sharing my hard learned life lessons with the world at large. Some of these lessons are humbling and difficult to admit, but I think that as a culture we do not reflect on our lives enough. Consequentially the lessons we might take from our experiences are lost and those around us are forced to learn things the hard way.
